The maintenance staff is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair of school buildings, premises, varies equipment and performing minor repairs involving lock repairs, electrical, painting, heating, ventilating services, woodworking, and other normal routine maintenance duties associated with operations of a school district.


An individual who holds this position is required to:

  • General maintenance duties as assigned by Executive Director of Operations
  • Performs variety of tasks including but no limited to replacing ceiling tiles, floor tiles, light bulbs, ballasts, patching holes, painting, installing white boards and toilet dispensers, trenching, bleacher repairs, and general grounds maintenance.
  • Operate various equipment and power tools to perform repairs
  • Checking freezers, boilers, HVAC and water systems for proper operation.
  • Indoor and Outdoor work opportunities
  • Wide range of basic skill work opportunities 
  • Assisting with athletic field set up/maintenance
  • Assisting with facility setups for special events

Qualifications:

  • Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance. 
  • Valid drivers license
  • Ability to use measurement devices accurately
  • Ability to use power and hand tools
  • Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical and mechanical work.
  • Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents in a positive manner
  • Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
  • Ability to follow written and oral communication 
  • Ability to problem solve


Working Conditions:
Work Shift from 7:00a.m. until 3:30p.m. M-F     

Summer hours are four 10 hour days from 7:00 until 5:00 M-Th
